Most evangelical Christians are familiar with stories about Jesus found in the New Testamant. But have you wondered if there is more that can be learned about Him before that day when we see Him face to face? There is so much more to learn in about Him from the Old Testament. There's an old saying: "The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed."

This section takes a glimpse into just a few of the many foreshadows of Jesus found in the Old Testament. Adam contains some of the greatest depth regarding Jesus' love for His bride. Jonah provides insight into our salvation and also what Jesus thought about during and after the punishmennt He paid for our sins. The seven days of Creation describes Jesus' purpose for joining us on this earth. In fact the first three days foretell of his birth, death and ressurection. The stories of Ruth and Deborah detail the working of the Trinity for our salvation. Sampson explains Jesus' relationships with three categories of mankind: "The world", Israel, and the Church.

Read through some of these and see if you don't find them challenging your understanding and curiosity. The goal of this section, is to grow in a deeper trusting relationship with our Lord Jesus that can only happen by knowing Him better.

Law (Legalism) vs. Grace

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned-- for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. (Romans 5:12-14 - NIV)
